Applications

DEHUMIDIFICATION

Preserving building structure and materials of Indoor Pool Rooms / Natatoriums, while also protecting occupants, including swimmers and spectators. Public aquatic centers, including YMCA’s, Neighborhood Community Centers, Schools: Primary, Secondary and Collegiate levels. Private facilities, including Competitive Swim Clubs, as well as Hotels, Rehab/Therapy Clinics and Spas, and Residential pool rooms.

Industrial applications for protecting both building and contents, including production and warehouse facilities, water treatment plants (pump and control rooms), and more.

Clients served include: YMCA Assoc. of Greater Richmond, Greensprings Resort, Augusta Health Center, Holiday Inn’s, Marriott’s, Hilton’s and a host of other hotels, as well as residential customers with indoor pool rooms.

DEDICATED OUTDOOR AIR SYSTEMS (DOAS)

Essentially another form of dehumidification…. treatment of outdoor air being introduced into buildings for meeting occupancy code requirements by dehumidifying, cooling and heating the outdoor air while supplying it to the indoor space at a “room neutral” conditions.

A critical component to maintaining IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) for health and wellbeing of occupants. Programmable for occupied and unoccupied modes to save energy and can also be tied to CO2 or other gas detection for activation and/or increase in air volume. Building type varies widely from basic office space to factory and warehouse facilities and just about any/all structures.

Mechanical DX and Desiccant Dehumidification type systems for a wide range of dewpoint conditions, ranging from the more common office space environments to the extremely (low DP) dry conditions of more demanding production processes, such as paint booth facilities and R&D lab spaces.

GROW ROOMS

Indoor agriculture has become an increasing area of demand for sophisticated environment control systems to protect and enhance the effective crop success rate for growers. The intricate plant growth cycle from seedling to flowering and harvest is an in-depth science that requires a comprehensive understanding of the botany as well as the mechanical equipment.

Desert Aire is leading the industry with a nationwide network of installations ranging from small to very large customer sites.  GTI and gLeaf are among the various clients utilizing Desert Aire’s grow room systems

MISSION CRITICAL PRECISION COOLING

Ultrasonic humidifier systems, complete with precision controls for instant on/off demand operation.  No lag time, unlike traditional steam-type humidifiers and 95% less energy consumption for low cost of operation.  Computer Room Environments, production processes, laboratory environments are several examples of environments calling for this type of tight control.

Capital One, Bank of America, VA Medical Centers, Dominion Power and are among those customers depending on ultrasonic precision humidifier systems for controlling the relative humidity levels in their mission-critical spaces.

AIR DISTRIBUTION DUCTWORK

Fabric duct for virtually any facility, providing high strength, lightweight, easily installed, affordable fabric ductwork that is easily and quickly installed.  Including assistance with design and selection processes.

COLD/HOT AISLE CONTAINMENT

Advanced, flexible partitioning for increasing colling efficiency in data centers, computer rooms and other sensitive equipment environments.

Effectively improving heat exchange while minimizing capital expenditure on cooling systems by separating warm and cold air in the room, thereby -preventing unwanted mixing or blending of air before reaching the AC coil.  The principle is simple:  Increasing the delta T across the cooling coil maximizes the AC unit’s performance, getting the most capacity out of each AC system.

Data Centers hosting sensitive IT equipment are one of the primary application areas ideally suited to the benefits of containment, saving on the expense and space consumption associated with adding more cooling units in the white space where real estate is at a premium.

GAS DETECTION & MONITORING

Toxic and volatile gas detection systems, including explosive gas types.  Complete system solutions with both sensors and monitoring controls with networking capabilities.

From Carbon Monoxide (CO) monitoring and exhaust fan auto-activation in parking decks/garages and auto service centers to refrigerant and other chemical detection in mechanical rooms (boiler, chiller, air conditioning units).

Local and remote alarm annunciation via visual and audible notifications in the form of horn and strobe and electronic messaging, including auto-email notices.  Assistance with mapping out the distribution of sensors, relay stations, data concentrators and controls.  Hardwired and wireless networking options are available
